Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Overnight at your hotel in Chefchaouen.

DAY 1 : FES TO CHEFCHAOUEN.

5 DAYS NORTH MOROCCO TOUR FROM FES

Chefchaouen lies at an altitude of 600 m at the foot of two horn-shaped mountains, which gave the city its name. With its adjoining houses on the hillside, Chefchaouen is one of the most picturesque towns in Morocco. This sacred 'Blue City' offers quiet streets and friendly people radiating both tranquility and mystery. Ibn Moulay Rachid, a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad, founded the city in the 15th century near the tomb of Moulay Abdessalam, the patron saint of Djebalistam who was said to possess supernatural powers. Centuries have passed but much of the design work remains the same. The square Uta el-Hammam has several terraces where you have a wonderful view of the impressive Kasbah. A port made with wood carvings near the street where the Kasbah is situated, gives access to a Caravanserai (Fondouk) that is still used during market days. The Berbers, farmers from alpine meadows, spend the night there before they work on the market the following day. Overnight at your hotel in Chefchaouen .

DAY 2 : CHEFCHAOUEN /MEDINA VISIT.

After breakfast leave Chefchaouen Crossing the Rif mountains to arrive to Asilah; This beautiful whitewashed harbor town is located in the northwest of Morocco on the Atlantic coast. It is situated about 50 km from the international port city of Tangier. The town is surrounded by high walls. The success of the cultural festival means the seafront of the town is very busy during July and August. The rest of the year it is an oasis of tranquility. The alleys of the medina are a hybrid of Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese styles with a unique charm. The restoration was awarded the Aga Khan Architecture Award. Asilah was founded by the Phoenicians and it was both at the time of Mauritania and during the pre-Roman and Roman times an important city (because here, coins were made). It was conquered by the Portuguese in 1471 and there was a lively trade with the Mediterranean countries. The town fell again into Moroccan hands in 1691, during the reign of Moulay Ismail.

We will visit the village with its quaint street lines, white-washed houses, painted walls and wrought iron balconies. You can enjoy your time in one of the many art galleries, or out on the ramparts where you will find spectacular views of the fortifications and the village. Overnight at your Hotel at Asilah.

DAY 3 : CHEFCHAOUEN - ASILAH

Tangier is on the Northern most tip of Morocco, with beaches both on the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. A very continental town, its enigma is derived from its former status as an international City where the glittering rich, the playfully adventurous and the blatantly curious swarmed in to escape the humdrum realities of their lives in the USA and Europe. As the last saxophones of the Jazz age faded, Artists, writers, aristocrats and scoundrels haunted the bars on the Grand Socco.

Echo’s of that ambience still remain in the steep cobbled roads that wind up from the harbour to the Grand Mosque, and the Medina is still the same maze of twisting lanes washed by the smells of mint, mimosa, fish. Tangier (or Tangier) boasts two main beaches in the town and several secluded coves and beaches within easy reach from Asilah . Overnight at your hotel in Assilah.

DAY 4 : ASILAH TO TANGIER

Departure to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Through the agricultural fields of western Morocco, enjoy the views and devote some time to enjoy the Moulay Bouselham beach and village, after that continue to Rabat. In Rabat you will visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the kasba des Oudayas. Drop of at your Hotel / end of our Services .
